Dongwoo Hong is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Axon Energy. With a career in the renewable energy sector spanning since 2008, he has held leadership roles at various IPPs and development companies.
Prior to founding Axon Energy in 2025, Dongwoo served as the Chief Operating Officer at Blackwood Group. Previously, he led Korean business development for both Peak Energy and Enel Green Power. He also managed overseas investments in the MENA region as part of the investment group at DL Energy.

Leads grid interconnection solutions for data centers — the most critical technical challenge for hyperscale projects. Over 15 years of grid and electrical engineering expertise at BP Korea, DL Energy, WPD/Skyborn, and Samsung Engineering.

Responsible for both small and utility scale solar farms to be combined with data centers. Electrical engineer and expert in central and municipal government policies and stakeholder management. Over 15 years of project development and EPC sales throughout his career.

Leads onshore and offshore wind power development — our mid-to-long-term growth engine. Former Managing Director at WPD/Skyborn Korea, a leading global wind developer. Accumulated extensive experience at DL Energy, Samsung Heavy Industries and Suzlon.

Leads AI data center development and strategic client partnerships. Over 15 years of experience in hyperscale data center development, enterprise sales, and business development across Korea's leading technology and infrastructure sectors. Responsible for securing anchor tenants and structuring long-term offtake agreements with domestic and global hyperscalers.
